    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in Athletics.  

    • Days/Hours
    • Flexible within the hours of 8-5 and occasionally an evening or weekend. 

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after September 3, 2024, and ending on or before May 23, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist Athletics Administration, Office Coordinator, and Operations Specialist with day-to-day office. Tasks included organization of laundry room and storage space, scanning sorting, and filing documents on SharePoint.
      • Assist with special events hosted by the department including Crab Feed, STANYS, and Homecoming -may require some weekend or evening hours.

      Other duties as assigned.

      • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment with students, and staff.
      • Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions.
      • Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality.
      • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates bilingual oral and written skills.
      • Demonstrates familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, and other standard computer programs.
      • Demonstrates effective communication skills using proper English grammar as required by the position.
      • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate follow-through.
      • Demonstrates the ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.).

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
    • Salary Range


    • $16.00 per hour
