    • Position Summary
    • One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student position in Strategic Communication & Marketing.  

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after August 21, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with editing pages on the csustan.edu Drupal site.
      • Assist with posting images and photos to the website.
      • Assist with cleaning up content and directory structure on the website.
      • Assist with web accessibility updates and remediation.
      • Assist in building custom website forms within Drupal.
      • Assist in fulfilling, solving and handling web work order requests from across the campus.
      • Assist in communicating with University departments and programs regarding site updates and edits.
      • Assist with easy/moderate graphic design projects for elements to be used on the web, such as creating banner images and cropping photos.
      • Assist current web ambassadors (Drupal editors group) with Drupal questions (will train!).
      • Attend campuswide communications and creative monthly meetings.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates a familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel and other computer programs.
      • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
      • Demonstrates dependable and able to follow-through on assignments.
      • Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate follow through.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates enrollment as a computer science or a related major.
      • Demonstrates excellent communication, troubleshooting and research skills.
      • Demonstrates an excellent eye for editing content and familiarity with formatting text.
      • Demonstrates knowledge of HTML and CSS.
      • Demonstrates beginner to intermediate graphic design skills.
      • Demonstrates the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
      • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of web accessibility.
      • Demonstrates the ability to take on web related project responsibilities independently, with general supervision.
      • Demonstrates a friendly, outgoing personality — you will interact with and provide service to all University departments and programs.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates previous experience with a content-management system, preferably Drupal.
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying
    • Salary Range


    • $16.00 per hour.
